Now here’s for a funny blooper:
Right after the ceremony, the groom announced in English, “And for my American friends, we have a table assigned just for you.” I’m thinking, Aren’t ALL the Russians here your American friends too? But everyone seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. Yep, that would be us…the only-one-language-speaking-friends!
During the reception, a wide variety of individuals and groups would sing and/or play Russian-style music for the bride and groom. It was as if things were constantly moving between the MCs and performers all into the night. I so love listening to Russian, even though I have no clue what they are saying! It just sounds so cool!
