My heart melts when I see the genuine love Nathan and Ivy have for each other and their boys. Their faces light up when they see each other. They are so grateful for the life that God has given them and live it to the fullest. Nathan, thank you for serving for our country.

Even though I’ve lived in Puyallup all my life with tons of islands not more than 2 hours away, I have N.E.V.E.R. been to an island in Washington! That is, until Megan asked if we could do her senior portraits on Bainbridge Island. Of course!
If I really think about it, I guess I’ve been on a few islands in Washington before, but I don’t really count the 10′x10′ patch of ground jetting up in the middle of a lake as a real island. I’m talking a place where people live. Like in a house. Yeah.
So back to Megan. We drove all over the place, stopping whenever we saw a spot we liked. Her brother’s girlfriend, who lives on the island, was our regular tour guide, giving us all sorts of fascinating facts about the area she grew up in and the history of different parts of the island. Such a fun time!
Andrew and Rebekah’s wedding was scheduled to be an outdoor wedding at the ranch where he works, but good thing they had a backup plan! Sorta last minute they decided to have the ceremony at a church down the road. Good thing too…with flat, empty corn fields and no trees as far as your eye could see to break the wind, cold and rain, we might have had a few frozen statues to thaw out! My fingers definitely were close…
Every hour on the hour leading up to the ceremony, Andrew had a rose and hand-written note delivered to Rebekah.
